#1.  Chocolate and fruits mask for skin toning

This is an excellent mask for your skin, especially during summers. Take 50 grams of melted chocolate, one medium banana, one apple, and one cup each of strawberries and watermelon. Mix all the fruits in a blender, and put melted chocolate in that mix. Now, resist yourself from consuming this tempting mixture, and apply it on your face and neck. Leave it for around 15-20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. And, you can blend the fruits in a bit more quantity than mentioned above, so that you can drink it to make your skin even healthier after you are done taking care of your skin from the outside!

#2. Chocolate and besan face mask for fair skin

Try this amazing face mask to get fairer complexion. Take a small bar of dark chocolate and boil it either in a double boiler or a microwave. Add one tablespoon of besan (gram flour) and one teaspoon curd to it. Also, squeeze half a lemon into this mix. If your skin is dry, then add fresh cream instead of curd in this pack. Blend all the ingredients to make a fine paste and apply it on your skin. Leave it for around half an hour and wash it off with normal water. Use this twice a week to get best results.

#3. Chocolate and oatmeal scrub for glowing skin

Get rid of your dead and dull skin, and flaunt a soft, healthy, and glowing one with this amazing scrub. Take half a cup of cocoa powder, three tablespoons of oatmeal, and one teaspoon each of cream and honey. Mix all these ingredients well and apply the scrub on your face and neck area. Now, gently massage your skin by simply moving your fingertips in circular motion. Once you are done massaging, leave the scrub on your skin for around 10-15 minutes. Now, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Not only will it make your skin radiant, but it will also make you feel relaxed after a tiring week.

#4. Chocolate, olive oil and egg yolk face pack for soft skin

This hydrating face mask nourishes your skin and makes it soft. To make this face mask, take 50 grams of chocolate (melted or powdered), one tablespoon olive oil, and one egg yolk. Put all the ingredients together and whisk them to form an even paste. Apply this paste on your face and neck area. Leave it for around 15-20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Use this twice a week to get best results.

#5. Chocolate and green tea face mask for youthful skin

Look much younger than you actually are with this brilliant anti-ageing chocolate face mask. Take one small bar of dark chocolate and melt it. Add one tablespoon each of olive oil, honey and yoghurt to it. Now, add the content of two green tea bags in this and mix well. Apply this paste evenly on your face and neck. Let it dry and rinse it off your skin with normal water. The antioxidants present in aloe vera and green tea reduce the signs of ageing and give you a younger looking skin. At the same time, honey and yoghurt lessen the age spots and other marks on your skin.

#6. Chocolate and banana mask for shiny hair

Try this brilliant pack to add lustre and smoothness to your hair. Take one ripe banana and mash it well. Melt three to four cubes of dark chocolate and add it to the mashed banana. Let the chocolate cool down, and add half a teaspoon of honey to this mixture. Now, apply it all over your hair avoiding the roots. Wrap your hair with cling film and let it stay on for 40-45 minutes. To remove this mask, wash your hair with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo. Repeat the process twice a month for best results.

#7. Chocolate and yoghurt mask for voluminous hair

Nourish your dry hair with this fantastic hair mask. Firstly, take a paste of melted dark chocolate (three to four cubes). Now, add half a cup of yoghurt and half a tablespoon of honey to it. Apply the warm (make sure it is not hot) paste throughout your hair, but avoid the scalp. Let it stay on for around 30 minutes and then wash it off with normal water and a mild shampoo. This pack adds instant plumpness to your hair by nourishing your hair cuticles.

Some Beauty Products You Don't Necessarily Need - Parlor in lajpat nagar & malviya nagar

1. Eye Cream
Ever wake up with puffy eyes and think a topical cream is your best fix? Think again. It's just as effective to use a regular cold compress, or even clean, cold cucumber and potato slices to reduce inflammation around your eyes in the morning

2. Primer
Unless you find that your makeup is melting off by the end of the day, you can consider skipping this to streamline your beauty routine. Instead, do small makeup touchups throughout the day and consider switching concealers if yours is fading too quickly.

3. Toner
If you're already using a cleanser and moisturizer with SPF, a toner might not be doing much else, says our beauty director, April Franzino. Plus, classic astringents have a high alcohol content and could strip and can dry out your skin. Then your skin will work hard to produce more oil, possibly making it oilier than before.

4. Eyeliner
If you're not doing a fancy cat eye, your mascara can replace your eyeliner. To mimic it without a pencil, Franzino says to simply wiggle the mascara wand at the base of your lashes to create an extra dark line. Keep adding layers for intensity.

5. Leave-In Conditioner
Apply a dab or two of your regular conditioner — you can play with the amounts to find out what works best — to your hair after you shower. Or, try your own DIY deep conditioning treatment once a week: Rinse your hair clean and put a generous amount of conditioner on your strands. Put a plastic cap over your hair (this will trap heat) and let it sit for 20 minutes. Finally, rinse your hair for super-shiny, ultra-hydrated locks.

6. Full Coverage Foundation
Use a concealer or tinted moisturizer instead. Bonus: You won't have to buy expensive application brushes either.

7. Eyelash Curler
As your mascara is drying, place your finger at the base of your lashes and push them up toward your eyebrow for a few seconds. This can give them the same slight bend your curler will.

This Beauty Trick May Be the Answer to Dark Circles - Salon in lajpat nagar & malviya nagar

Dark circles. We've all had them at some point. And we've all tried to cover them up. Concealer works, but sometimes that unslightly greenish/blue hue is still visible despite our best efforts.

Like a lot of women, beauty vlogger Deepica Mutyala, has tried to figure out the best way to cover up her dark circles. And recently, she stumbled upon a not-so-new (apparently, pageant contestants and drag queens have been using it for years) yet totally genius tip that promises to even out the skin color under your eyes. Hint: It involves using red or orange lipstick.

It looks super scary when you're putting the lipstick on, but it actually makes a lot of sense. On the color wheel, red and orange are directly across from blue and green so they cancel each other out. Translation: When you dab on that red or orange lipstick, it neutralizes the green or blue color under your eyes, making it less visible.

Want to try it out? Simply dab a clean makeup brush into your lipstick and start applying the color under your eyes. Mutyala, who admits to using much more than you probably need, suggests playing around until you find the coverage that works for you. When you're done, apply your favorite concealer and beauty blender to seal it in.

5 Makeup Mistakes That Make You Look Tired - Parlor in Lajpat Nagar & Malviya Nagar

Mistake #1: You don't start with a moisturizer.
Having dry skin won't do you any favors in the looking awake department.

The fix: Pick a moisturizer with added SPF. It not only adds much-needed hydration back into your skin, but it also protect you from sun damage, which — surprise! — also ages you.

Mistake #2: You apply foundation all wrong.
Wearing way too much, wearing none at all, or wearing a color that doesn't match your skintone are all big no-no's. Why? Skipping it completely while still adding other makeup (like mascara) can make your skin look washed out. And caked-up foundation (even in powder form) can crack and make wrinkles and imperfections appear so much worse.

The fix: Find a color that works for you and apply it evenly. If you're struggling to find your match, add a swipe along your jawline or hand — either will help you find a shade that blends into your skin.

Mistake #3: You forget about blush.
Lack of color equals dull and lifeless skin.

The fix: If you're going to wear any makeup at all, stick with a moisturizer, light coverage foundation, a bit of mascara, and a swipe of blush. Start on the apples of your cheeks and apply toward your hairline. You'll look awake and refreshed in no time.

Mistake #4: You overdo the eyeliner.
If you wear too much, you eyes can appear smaller and more tired. Plus, deep black liners can exaggerate bloodshot eyes if you are actually lacking sleep.

The fix: Consider lining your lower lid with a lighter-colored pencil (pick one that is a shade darker than your skintone) to open up your eyes. Even a swipe of white can make you look more refreshed.

Mistake #5: You don't freshen up throughout the day.
Smudged eyeliner or uneven lipstick? An unkempt face screams that you need some zzz's.

The fix: Take a quick bathroom break (30 seconds is all you need) to remove any black smudges underneath your eyes, dab a bit of concealer on any trouble spots, and brush out your brows. It's the perfect beauty pick-me-up.

Best Ways To Deal With Common Skin Problems - Parlor in Lajpat Nagar & Malviya Nagar

 Tiny pimple
Tiny pimple marks and acnes tarnishing your appearance simply make you overindulge in all sorts of creams, lotions and treatments available in the market. A late night cocktail party, a few sleepless nights, days of stress at work, and to top it all- ageing, contribute to such skin problems. But, did you know that constant worrying about your skin problems can in fact multiply them? Relax! We have solutions for four common skin problems that bug you the most. Read on to know more.

Dark circles and puffiness
A very hectic routine and lack of sleep can often lead to dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. Cutting down on your alcohol and salt intake will make them less prominent. Massaging refrigerated eye-gel around the eyes in gentle circular motions before going to bed, can be a great treatment option. You can place refrigerated green tea bags on your eyes for about 15 minutes everyday. This can also serve as a beneficial treatment option for puffy eyes.

Brown spots
Blemishes on face are one of the common signs of sun damage or ageing. Simply apply lemon juice mixed with honey and a pinch of turmeric on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes before washing it off. Do not expect dramatic results overnight. But, if it is a problem that has persisted for a long time, do consult your dermatologist. They will surely prescribe you some acid peels, products with hydroquinone or kojic acid.

Dry, peeling skin
Having itchy and parched skin throughout the year can be a sign of ageing, eczema or dermatitis. It can be caused by a number of things like allergies to food or certain chemicals. While you might be resorting to heavy lotions, it is more beneficial to go for oils such as olive, grapeseed, apricot, rosehip and pomegranate, which can percolate your skin easily. Keep a close watch on things that particularly are irritating for your skin, and stay away from them.

Growing pores
If you notice your skin pores getting bigger, well they may be ringing the warning bell for future wrinkles. They are caused when the collagen walls of your skin start breaking down. The best solution is to keep your skin taut by using skin serums and peptide creams. Regular exfoliation also makes your skin look radiant.

Make sure you exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet, apart from keeping in mind our easy tips.
