#1. Avoid alcohol at all costs
Because it does not help you sleep better whatsoever. It rather dehydrates your body and skin, making you look dull and hung-over the next morning.

Light exercises during the day, improve the body’s metabolism and helps you sleep better. And what’s more, you move towards a slimmer, healthier and fresher lifestyle routine.
#3. Switch off the television
As it makes you sleep fade away, and compels you to be awake longer. Instead, read a little before hitting the sack.
#4. Make sure your bedding arrangement is comfortable
Be it a comfortable mattress that makes you sink in it, cosy linen or anything else, invest in such items without a second thought.
#5. Breathing exercises to the rescue
Breathing exercises increase the oxygen flow in the cells. The body feels more relaxed and mind becomes more calm. Meditating in the morning and before sleeping or even chanting for that matter, helps soothe your mind and soul, and makes you sleep better.
#6. Say no to caffeine
Caffeine present in tea, coffee and some after-meal chocolates also hinders your sleeping pattern. And so, it must not be consumed after 4 pm in the evening.
#7. Keep all electronic gadgets away
Keep all the gadgets away, at least 30 minutes before you plan to call it a night as they emit a blue light that makes your sleep disappear. It also stresses your eyes, thus, making them weaker.
#8. Make a to-do list
As soon as you lie down, your mind becomes quite active and starts to think of ten things at one time. Use your mind’s hyper energy to plan what all you need to do the next morning and make a to-do list for your big day.
#9. Do not constantly watch the clock
Looking at your wall clock again and again, wondering why you are not able to sleep will make your mind even more anxious. Instead, look away, close your eyes and think of nice things; your honeymoon for instance.
#10. Keep yourself properly hydrated throughout the day
So that there is no need for you to wake up at night to drink water, in case your body feels dehydrated because of all the stress and tiredness.
#11. Sleep wearing clothing which is light and soft
Letting your skin breathe in soft and light fabric materials ensures you have a pleasant sleep all night long. Hard clothing hinders your sleep by making you uncomfortable.
#12. Take a relaxing hot water bath
Or, a dip in a warm bathtub, which will help soothe and calm your body and mind. It will not only give you a good night’s sleep, but also make all your body aches and pains vanish.
#13. Get some sunlight every day
Just because some amount of UV rays are considered important for the body and brain. The sun is responsible to reset your internal clock that gives you a good sleeping pattern.
#14. Do not discuss your wedding after a fixed time
Just switch off your mind from all the planning and stress after say, 7 pm, in the evening. After that, just spend time with your family; laugh, eat, drink, dance. In short, simply de-stress yourself!
#15. Turn the lights dim
With bright lights on, the brain gets a signal that it is daytime and hence, the release of the hormone melatonin that makes the body sleep, is suppressed.
