#1. Cold therapy
You may splash cold water on your eyes, or keep a towel soaked in cold water on your eyes. You can also pack some ice cubes inside a towel and place it over your eyes. This will instantly reduce the puffiness under your eyes. Cold spoons can also be very effective in treating your swollen eyes. Keep a few spoons in the freezer. Place the round bottom of the spoon over the puffy area for about five minutes. You will notice the puffy eye look vanishing in the thin air!
#2. Honey dip
Take half a cup of water and put a tablespoon of honey in it. Soak some cotton balls in the mixture. Now, place these wet cotton balls on your puffy under-eye area. Keep it for 10-15 minutes for optimum results. This will reduce the puffiness and will also prevent your under eye skin from sagging.
#3. Cucumber slices
One of the most effective as well as the easiest ways to make bags under your eyes disappear is using cucumber slices. All you have to do is, cut cucumber slices and put them in the refrigerator. Once chilled, keep them on your eyes for a few minutes. With a regular usage, you will notice the under eye bags disappearing over a period of time. You can also blend cucumber, and apply this paste (chilled) under your eyes.
#4. Tea bags therapy
Tea bags can work wonders for puffy eyes. For this, place used tea bags (preferably green tea) in the freezer. Make sure that the used bags are dipped only in hot water, and not in milk. Take them out and put them on your eyes for approximately 15 minutes. The therapy will show an instant effect on your under eye puffiness and dark circles.
#5. Potato slices
Potatoes not only reduce puffiness, but they also help to bring back the glow around your eyes. And to make that possible, here is a simple procedure that you have to follow. Take a potato, peel it, cut it into slices and keep them in the freezer for sometime. Place the chilled slices on your eyes and let them stay for about 10 minutes. Rinse your face, and find your eyes as fresh as morning dew!
#6. Lifestyle changes
Apart from following the suggested natural remedies, these changes in your lifestyle will also help you to a great extent to get rid of those puffy eyes:
- Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water to keep your skin hydrated.
- Take proper rest. Eight hours of beauty sleep is a must!
- Foods high in sodium content must be avoided because they aid in water retention, hence creating fluid weight gain at the area around your eyes.
